I enjoyed a nine-year-long career as a tackle with the Detroit Lions. I negotiated my own contracts and preached money management fundamentals to anyone in the locker room who would listen. Most of my teammates weren’t interested—but those early experiences foreshadowed the work I’d devote myself to after football.

Life in West Sonoma County
My wife Katherine and I settled in Sonoma County, California, where we raised our two kids and still reside. When not writing, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and working on our property—affectionately known as the “Tick Farm.”
