With the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017 and the doubling of the exemption, only the uber-rich need worry about estate tax. For now, anyway. These exemptions and exclusions are due to expire at the end of 2025, which means much lower values than above. Maybe our legislators will step in and pass a new tax bill. Or not. Stay tuned.
